STONE TEMPLE PILOTS: First Reunion Concert Footage Posted Online
April 8, 2008The first fan-filmed video footage has surfaced of the reunited STONE TEMPLE PILOTS' first show in almost eight years, which took place on Monday (April 7) in the Hollywood Hills.
The band performed a half-dozen hits during a 30-minute set, including opener "Big Empty" (see clip below),"Vasoline" and "Interstate Love Song", all of which are taken from STP's second album, 1994's "Purple".
STONE TEMPLE PILOTS yesterday revealed the details of their 65-city tour, set to begin May 17 in Columbus, Ohio. As previously announced, the trek will kick off with a headlining appearance at the Rock on the Range festival in Columbus, Ohio. [The exact cities and dates will be released shortly.]
"The story's not finished," singer Scott Weiland told The Associated Press. "There's more to be revealed and more to be told."
Guitarist Dean DeLeo said the band plans to record a new album after the tour, which is set to wrap in November.

The band will make its first national TV appearance since reuniting on the May 1 edition of ABC-TV's "Jimmy Kimmel Live!"
Weiland was dismissed from VELVET REVOLVER last week, following his announcement that the group's just-completed European tour was its last and accusations of erratic behavior against him by the rest of the group.
